The National Teaching Council (NTC) has officially opened registration for the July 2025 GTLE Examination for new candidates and re-sit candidates. All prospective teachers who are yet to take the exam or who need to re-sit are required to register before the deadline.

IMPORTANT DATES

• Registration Deadline: 7th July 2025 (strictly no extensions)
• Examination Dates: 18th – 20th July 2025

Registration opens to both new candidates and re-sit candidates.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Indexing (For New Candidates Only)
2. All first-time candidates must complete indexing before registration.
3. Candidates must hold at least a degree qualification before they can be licensed as professional teachers.
4. The indexing involves collecting personal data from colleges and universities to generate unique codes for candidates to access NTC online resources.
5. Indexing is mandatory — candidates who are not indexed will not be allowed to register for the licensure exams.
